The City of Brotherly Love hasn't been very friendly to Orlando City over the years. The last time the Lions played there--the final match of the dismal 2017 season--the home side throttled the visitors by the count of 6 - 1. The five-goal margin of defeat matches the worst that Orlando City has suffered in MLS (they also lost 5 - 0 at Toronto on Aug 22, 2015). That had to leave a bad taste in the mouth of any players for the Lions that were involved in the match, and they should be motivated to serve up some revenge on Friday night. Let's look at the series history.
- Aug 08 at ORL: OCSC 0 - 0 PHI
- Oct 25 at PHI: OCSC 0 - 1 PHI
- Apr 08 at PHI: OCSC 1 - 2 PHI
- May 25 at ORL: OCSC 2 - 2 PHI
- Oct 16 at PHI: OCSC 2 - 0 PHI
- Mar 18 at ORL: OCSC 2 - 1 PHI
- Oct 22 at PHI: OCSC 1 - 6 PHI
- Wins: OCSC 2, PHI 3, Draws 2
- Goals: OCSC 8, PHI 12
- at PHI: OCSC 1-3-0
This week we are trying a little multimedia. Here's a video I posted Monday with some of the details about the Players to Watch and the Three Points to Victory for OCSC in the coming match, along with a little review of last week's action in the blog and on the pitch...
Later in the week look for more content from me on the MLS match at Philly and on the Pride's big match at Portland Thorns on Sunday.
Do you think Orlando City can keep its win streak alive on Friday night, or will Philadelphia continue to be a place that OCSC struggles? Let me know in the comments below!
