There are 40 days between the first day of the 2015 MLS playoffs on October 28 and the MLS championship on December 6. Orlando City may not be in the playoffs this year, but I thought it would be a good opportunity to reflect on the year that was 2015 and the highs and lows. In addition, I'll be including my evaluation of each player from the first team roster.
Day 13: Conor Donovan 2015 in Review
Over the next few days, I'll review the season statistics for each player on the 2015 Orlando City first team. We'll look at some key metrics, key moments, and my expectations for 2016. These posts are in alphabetical order, so next up is Conor Donovan.

2015 Summary: Conor Donovan was one of several teenage players acquired by Orlando City for the 2015 season. It is likely that the front office and coaching staff hoped Donovan could be loaned out to Louisville City to get some minutes playing in USL, but the rash of injuries prevented many of the younger players from being able to leave Orlando all season, keeping them in an awkward kind of limbo all season. Donovan was only ever able to see the pitch for one match and only for a very limited number of minutes before tearing his ACL against Philadelphia Union in August.
2016 Projection: Barring any kind of trade, I would expect to see Conor Donovan moved to the OCB squad in USL for 2016, at least to begin the season. This should free up a roster spot on the first team to bring in a more experienced player and add some needed depth to the MLS side.
What do you think? Do you expect to see Conor Donovan with OCB in 2016 or do you think he'll remain with the first team? Let me know in the comments.
